Operation:
The CorruCount™ system comprises a high resolution digital CCD camera that vertically scan stacks of corrugated sheets up to 9 feet high automatically, identifying single, double or triple wall board. The camera and a light source are mounted on linear axes and positioned by a precise digital servo controller.
When a new stack is detected within the camera sensing area, the servo controller will activate the control system to commence a vertical scan and it will transmit the data captured to a Pentium processor within the control cabinet.
Processing the resultant image is accomplished within 10 seconds and the precise stack count can be displayed, printed out on a suitable adhesive label or uploaded to an in-house management system.
Calculation of the stack count is independent of the image capturing process and ensures that following stacks do not need to slow up or be held in order that the next count process can take place.
